Welcome to Snowmass Village
Only 20 minutes northeast of Aspen lies Snowmass Village, a skier's paradise full of panoramic views, rolling meadows, and dense forest. With its natural beauty, Snowmass Village is full of history, starting in the late 19th century when the Hoaglund family settled here. Their family ranch was then converted into what is now known as the Anderson Ranch Arts Center. Then, in the early 1960s, Olympic skier Bill Janss bought many ranch properties to create a ski village similar to the communities he grew up with in the Alps. Now, Snowmass Village is renowned for its skiing and snowboarding, as well as its luxurious ski lodges.
The town also recently finished construction on the Base Village, with ski access and other fun events and activities for kids and those at heart. Snowmass village homes reflect this blending of rural living with a modern twist. Many of the properties incorporate rustic cabin features such as wooden paneling and open floor plans that put beautiful nature scenes on display and let in plenty of natural light.
